Horses

I think I have always loved horses! I remember learning to ride at a very young age and I could not wait until the day I could get my own horse. My parents surprised me just after my 13th birthday with a 2 year old black and white appaloosa.  His name was Dynamo and needless to say I was beyond ecstatic.  We had to go through the training and ground work, but he was a fun horse.  Since then I have had several more appaloosas, then decided I really liked the quarter horse breed.  I have had several quarter horses and a 1/2 thoroughbred 1/2 quarter horse as well.  My daughter, Mikayla, has inherited my love of horses and loves to ride every chance she gets.  “Tino” is the horse she loves to ride at my parents ranch and they get along great, he is a big sorrel quarter horse.  She dreams of someday having a dressage horse, which is totally out of my element, but I would love to learn with how a horse and rider can move together so gracefully – maybe someday!

Thoughts

I believe that if you are kind to others, you get kindness in return. If you choose to be around happy and positive people, your life reflects that. If you can do acts of kindness to those in need you will feel good about yourself. I try to live my life to these standards everyday.

My Philosophy

As you will see, I stay very busy. I am not one to sit around and waste the days away. I love the saying "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!” I do eat healthy (organic and all natural as much as possible) but I believe too many people sit around and wait for life to happen instead of going out and making life happen.
